Proclamation and Expectations

Simeon Benigno Aquino III, 15th President of the Republic of the Philippines. The wait is finally over. We now have our new president. It was just proclaimed yesterday at the Batasang Pambansa. It was another unforgettable part of history to have the son of the late president Cory Aquino to also do her part before. Of course we don’t expect that he will do the same thing that her mother did. The people of the Philippines are now expecting much from him because of our present situation. We are really hoping that his first 100 days will give an impact to the people and will also bring a big change in  the history of the Philippines.

Little Genius

I have a nephew, his name is JJ. He’s only 9 and on his 5th grade this coming school year. Since JJ was a baby, he likes electronic toys like remote controlled car, robots and he is also fond of playing jigsaw puzzle as early as 4 years old. We were very much impressed in his talent in playing. Now, he finds it fun to destroy his toys before and getting those parts that he can use to create another toy. Like for example a speed boat made out of straws, paper and packaging tapes. When he gets tired of assembling those toys, he will get back on the 500 piece jigsaw puzzle that my sister gave. To see him so interested in those things makes us proud. I know that when he grows up, he will not have a hard time knowing what he really wants.
